WK12 — Further Visual Experiment
This week I continue to experiment on the photograph editing for the website. I brought the pixelate + html technique from last week but applied focusing on the object, not the image. This way, audience should get that the topic is about objects rather than photography.
The fourth images above, I tried to play with the form of the object and make it feel more like it is transforming to pixels.
This one on the left is the one that I tried to imitate the 3D scanning perspective gridlines. I was searching if there are any software to generate it from a photo but I couldn’t find one so, I did it by vector drawing. The process takes too long and I don’t think I can’t apply this to every photos I will use.
At this point, I think the pixel transforming swirl with the shape of objects is the best choice. So, I will apply the style to other photos in the set and see if it works well or not.
Update about the web, I added the information button on each questions, edit the questions and the button on the sending page for adding more items.
I also got the brief storyline for the video introduction for the homepage. It will start with telling that everyone has their favourite stuff, but when there too many piles up then it clutter the space. Then I would start a question “So which objects are really matter to you?”. After that it will end with some kind of tagline like “Find out and bring it to Aftertime.”
